Aardmore Greens received a Best Value Award for Plettenberg Bay Accommodation
4 Star graded Aardmore Greens is a tranquil and idyllic getaway located on the spectacular Garden Route between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, with walking trails through original Outeniqua forest on the property. It is only 7km from the golden beaches of Plettenberg Bay and within walking distance of the 5–star Zinzi Restaurant that specializes in flavours from Africa, Europe and Asia and offers abundant and tasty platters in a beautiful setting.
Aardmore Greens is ideal for golfing or mountain biking tours as it is close to at least ten excellent golf courses, including the famous Pezula Championship Course and twelve mountain bike trails, the Garden of Eden trails amongst them. The scenic Plettenberg Bay / Knysna area offers an abundance of other holiday activities such as horseback trails, sightseeing, eco–tourism, including whale and dolphin watching, arts & crafts, cultural experiences, vineyard visits, water–based sport and something for the adrenaline junkies and Aardmore Greens is a superb base from which to explore it all.
Aardmore Greens is also one of only three Watusi breeders in South Africa and you can see this ancient African cattle breed grazing amongst the trees like pictures taken from Egyptian murals.

The Watusi is the Tutsi tribe in Rwanda and Burundi's variety of Sanga cattle and is known for its large, distinctive horns. Traditionally those with the largest and longest horns belonged to the king and were considered sacred, with some individuals having horns that measure 3.7 m from tip to tip. The breed is often referred to as the “Cattle of Kings” and has typical Zebu characteristics, such as the pendulous dewlap and sheath, upturned horns, and a neck hump of variable size.
